While the German economy is booming and voters did not express a clear preference for any other leader, Angela Merkel still faces unprecedented difficulties in forming a working coalition.

The ’Sun of Jamaica’ will not shine on Germany but what will the new government look like?

If negotiations succeed for a large coalition, in what ways will it be different from the previous one, and what will be the implications for Europe and Hungary?

If the talks fail, what can new elections mean for the strongest country in Europe?

Participants:

Gergely Prőhle, General Director of the Petőfi Literary Museum, former Ambassador to Berlin,

Prof. Ulrich Schlie, Chair in Diplomacy and Founder of the Center for Diplomacy, Andrássy University, and

Tamás Levente Molnár, Research Fellow at the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Time: February 13, 16:00-18:00
