Jeremy Carl

Jeremy Carl is a senior fellow at the Claremont Institute, where his work focuses on nationalism and national identity issues, migration policy, and government reform. Before joining Claremont, He served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Interior under President Trump and prior to that, he spent a decade as a research fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, where he worked closely with former U.S. Secretary of State George Shultz. He has authored and edited several books on various public policy topics and has served as a policy advisor to major national political figures. His political writing and commentary has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, National Review, Politico, the Economist. He received his BA degree from Yale University, his MPA from Harvard, and did doctoral work at Stanford University.
