Alexander Lefebvre

Alexandre Lefebvre is Professor of Politics and Philosophy in the Discipline of Government and International Relations, and the Discipline of Philosophy, at The University of Sydney. He is the author or editor of 12 books, most recently of Liberalism as a Way of Life (Princeton 2024), which was named a best book of the year by The New Yorker, The Australian Review of Books, and Persuasion. He received his PhD from Johns Hopkins University in 2007 and has held fellowships at Cornell University, Princeton University, McGill University, Osaka University, University of Copenhagen, Australian National University, Wuhan University, and WZB Berlin Social Science Center.
