The Budapest Edition of the Free Market Road Show 2019

Danube Institute will once again host the Free Market Road Show, in cooperation with The Austrian Economics Center (AEC), and over 100 leading think-tanks and universities across Europe and the Caucasus. International partners such as the Global Philanthropic Trust, Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, Americans for Tax Reform, Competitive Enterprise Institute, World Taxpayers Associations, European Students for Liberty, and the F.A. v. Hayek Institut, are proud to present the 11th Annual Free Market Road Show, which tours 31 capitals during March, April and May in Europe and the Caucasus – from Scandinavia to the Balkans, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Black Sea.

Topic:Europe is suffering from fiscal and demographic decline yet the European Commission is exacerbating the problems with harmonization, centralization, and bureaucratization.

-Richard Teather-leading British academic specialising in offshore tax jurisdictions.
Topic: Europe at the crossroads - harmonisation or choice?
The benefits of having different tax and regulatory systems, including the role of tax havens and the effect of Brexit

A local Panel will debate the topic, ”Autonomous Automobiles-Good or Bad?”  Students from IBS University and Budapest Business School will debate the topic, which will be introduced by  Dr Róbert Pintér, Head of Consumer Research at eNET Internet Research & Consulting Ltd. and assistant professor Corvinus University of Budapest. 

Eszter Petronella Soós of Milton Friedman University and Dr. Judit Mihalik, a communications expert will serve as judges.
