Alexander Downer - Danube Dialogues by Danube Institute

Alexander Downer, the longest serving foreign minister in Australian history talks about the trade deal between the UK and the EU and the waves of refugees sailing across the English Channel.

The EU has much more to lose without a trade deal with Britain, so as far as common sense goes, it is unlikely that there will be no agreement between them - said Alexander Downer the longest serving foreign minister in Australian history, currently working as the high commissioner to London. The waves of refugees sailing across the English Channel are still a problem to be faced, but it could be solved by changing the laws people smugglers are taking an advantage of, so it is only a matter a determination and taking a strong stance against illegal immigration. The latest episode on the Danube Dialogues hosted by John O’Sullivan, the president of Danube Institute. His guest was Alexander Downer.
