The David Starkey Lecture

Boris Johnson has left the stage.  Enters Prime Minister Liz Truss, who put forth a bold plan for growth with tax cuts and increased borrowing to attempt a jump-start the economy.  Meanwhile, the British pound continues its slide against the dollar,  strikes of the transport workers are called for, and the voters are discontent. Labour has recently polled its largest lead over the Tories in two decades, many pundits predict a Labour victory in the next election. What is the future of Conservatism in the U. K.?

British academic and commentator Dr David Starkey assessed the situation in his lecture, then he was joined in the conversation by Dr. Ofir Haivry, Vice-President of the Herzl Institute of Jerusalem and visiting fellow at the Danube Institute along with Rod Dreher, New York Times best-selling author of Live Not by Lies and Director of Network Director for Danube Institute, and John O’Sullivan CBE, President of Danube Institute and former advisor to PM Margaret Thatcher.
