The Return and Transformation of Geopolitics - Panel 1
FIRST PANEL: The Return of Geopolitics: The Euro-Atlantic World
Based on their geopolitical situation, different countries approach the Russian-Ukrainian conflict from different perspectives, but everybody agrees that maintaining peace should be the most important objective. At our conference on Monday, in his keynote speech, Tony Abbott, former prime minister of Australia shared his views about the changed global geopolitical situation. In the first panel discussion, experts, former ambassadors, and state representatives from Hungary, the United Kingdom, and Poland discussed the potential future of the liberal world order, the current challenges to NATO, and broadly the Trans-Atlantic cooperation. The participants have agreed that the West has to strengthen its current alliances and to focus more on the realist interpretation of international relations.
