She is an expert on international security and defence policy. Her undergraduate thesis focused on the mass communication dimension of Russian hybrid warfare during the annexation of Crimea. While her master research paper is entitled "Ambitions and realities of Russian space activities until 2030". Her main research interests include the geopolitical dimension of the Russian Federation's empire-building efforts and the European Union's common foreign and security policy. During her university years, she gained additional professional experience at the Hungarian Institute of Foreign Affairs and twice at the European Parliament in Brussels. Edina is also a member of the College of Security Policy, where she has held the position of President in addition to other leadership roles. As a result of her academic activities, she has numerous publications, received university and state scholarships and organised professional events. Member of the Hungarian Military Science Society.
