Transhumanism: the Future of Humanity or a Modernist, Gnostic Heresy?

EVENT POSTPONED A discussion critically examining the philosophical and scientific flaws of transhumanism and its impact on human nature and society.

EVENT POSTPONED

Transhumanism aims to build a future world for mankind that does away with the very qualities which make us human. This cult-like ideology has captivated political and economic elites across the globe, and influences leaders in tech on their quest to create ‘post-human’ forms of artificial intelligence. But like other true believers, transhumanists have many fundamental assumptions about the world and human nature that have critical flaws - both philosophically, and scientifically.

In this discussion event, Oxford Professor Jan Bentz and doctoral candidate Wael Taji Miller join distinguished fellow Rod Dreher for a confrontation against the flawed assumptions of transhumanist ideology, revealing the true nature of a belief system that is rooted in modernist philosophy and Gnostic heretical ideas about mankind and our place in the universe.
