A panel discussion on Latin America's political landscape under Trump's leadership, featuring experts analyzing the São Paulo Forum’s future
The arrival of Donald Trump in the White House and the team he has appointed for Latin America is stirring the whole region. The left, united in the São Paulo Forum feels threatened and is reacting through its international allies to try to stop Trump. On the other hand, right-wing Latin American leaders, such as Javier Milei, have joined the great MAGA movement. There will undoubtedly be a conflict between the two sides, which could lead to the end of the São Paulo Forum.
Featured panelists:
Alejandro Peña Esclusa, Leading Expert at the Christian Democratic Institute and Senior Fellow at the Center for Fundamental Rights
Zsolt Németh, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Hungarian National Assembly
John O’Sullivan, President of the Danube Institute
The panel discussion will be followed by a short presentation of Alejandro Pena’s latest Book „Classical Art and Cultural Marxism.”
Alejandro Peña Esclusa is a Venezuelan engineer, writer, and political consultant. A former presidential candidate, he was the first to denounce the "Cubanization" of Venezuela and played a pioneering role in organizing the earliest protests against the Chavista regime. Due to his opposition, he faced persecution, was imprisoned for a year, and was later forced into exile. Recognized as the foremost expert on the São Paulo Forum, he has authored several books on the subject. Peña Esclusa currently serves as a Leading Expert for the Christian Democratic Institute and a Senior Fellow at the Center for Fundamental Rights.
In Classical Art and Cultural Marxism, Alejandro Peña Esclusa argues that the moral and cultural decline of society is not spontaneous but part of a neo-Marxist agenda aimed at dismantling Christian civilization. He advocates for classical art as a powerful tool of resistance, capable of inspiring optimism and preserving cultural heritage. Through the works of great masters like Shakespeare, Schiller, Cervantes, Dante, Mozart, and Brunelleschi, Peña Esclusa highlights the enduring beauty and human excellence that counteract ideological narratives. Originally published in 2008, this newly revised edition is even more relevant in the face of contemporary challenges such as gender ideology, radical environmentalism, and multiculturalism.
