President Donald J. Trump and the National Security State

President Donald J. Trump and the National Security State

As Washington finds itself in turmoil over the leaked details of a high-level meeting discussing the response to Houthi attacks on maritime shipping in the Persian Gulf—with serious implications for US-EU relations and Middle East diplomacy—a former senior official in America's national security establishment will explore how, in recent years, the national security state has been distorted by partisan politics and flawed strategic judgments.

- Did the Obama administration weaken America's international standing and strategic posture?
- Was the intelligence community weaponised against Donald Trump's presidency?
- Has the war on disinformation evolved into a censorship industrial complex?
