Anton Bendarzsevszkij, director of research, Tamás Orbán, senior research fellow, and Peter Szitás, research fellow talk about defence modernisation programmes across Europe, but they put a greater emphasis on the latest procurement schemes, especially in Central Eastern Europe that might have been triggered by the shift in the European and global security perceptions. The war in Ukraine can fundamentally change the defence mindset of societies, especially on the eastern flank of NATO. The discussion is moderated by Fanni Korpics, research fellow at the Danube Institute.
