The Situation in Latin America - Challenges and Opportunities

A panel discussion on Latin America's political landscape under Trump's leadership, featuring experts analyzing the São Paulo Forum’s future

The arrival of Donald Trump in the White House and the team he has appointed for Latin America is stirring the whole region. The left, united in the São Paulo Forum feels threatened and is reacting through its international allies to try to stop Trump. On the other hand, right-wing Latin American leaders, such as Javier Milei, have joined the great MAGA movement. There will undoubtedly be a conflict between the two sides, which could lead to the end of the São Paulo Forum.

Featured panelists:

  • Alejandro Peña Esclusa, Leading Expert at the Christian Democratic Institute and Senior Fellow at the Center for Fundamental Rights
  • Zsolt Németh, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Hungarian National Assembly
  • John O’Sullivan, President of the Danube Institute

The panel discussion will be followed by a short presentation of Alejandro Pena’s latest book Classical Art and Cultural Marxism.
